2 small paintings from last summer.

Here are 2 small paintings,...2 x 2 feet. I consider them transition paintings for me. They were completed sometime last summer. The color is a bit off for both of them and I think one might be a bit grainy in the image. Was still working out how to get a good digital image with a shitty $100 camera. On a positive note, I'm starting Grad school in the fall, University of Guelph, and won't be spending mega bucks on tuition which is great. I will also be reuniting with an old studio partner who is accepted for the fall as well. Exciting.

Reproduction for auction

I did this early last fall. A Gaugin reproduction. Painters and other artists in my town were asked to do reproductions for an auction to raise money for an artist run gallery. Of course we would get some cash also. Sometimes I think I would do just about anything for some quick $$, free food or unlimited booze - Some would call this just socializing. It's a small town.

Old Abstraction 2002 summer, I Think

My sister had this painting I did in school quite a while back. All the rest are in the garbage and a few surivive on slides. It was a very cool summer and we had the studio spaces to ourselves. 2 in a room with attached rooms. We would come up with a ridiculous process, stick with it, and create a series of paintings. When this was done we started over with something new. My friend came up with a series of wrinkle paintings at the time with a cool but very stinky technique which has close similarities to some R Morris stuff. Its actually freaky - I wish I had some images.

The Rejuvenator

Here is a painting that was fun to do. Everyone is changing over their blog accounts. I'm too lazy but they look cool. OK, BYE.

a painting of robots blowing up some cars war of the worlds style

i can't say a whole lot about what brought this painting on except that i wanted to paint a robot blowing up some cars on the front lawn with a big red lazer. I did some more painting on it after this photo was taken but still it is basically the same. I want to get photoshop so i can take more pictures and be able to crop and post but it is taking some time. Peace be with you.
