these eyes


Here is an older painting that i recently got a digital image of.
Was happy it turned out, thought i'd post. Cause normally this does not
work out in my favour.

I like this painting, though some could complain about it being conservative. It reminds me of Oehlen's black and white series, which I loved, as well as D Batchelor's early work, and of course Guston. Sorry if the name dropping annoys

not annoying,... this stuff is kinda old in my mind... first year after graduating i tried a little of everything to find the how and the what.. but i like guston. like his application. and yes a little conservative... for me alot of stuff was about working things out and this stuff is a result of that....
doing a more psychological type of narrative painting currently..

which one is his posting, do you know off hand. i see novo art and richard smith studios right at top of list. either of these?

If you dont have an in or recommendation, you usually rely on portfolio only (unless you happen to meet an artist in person and they immediately take to you), that means that if you apply to someone like koons you need photo realist type shit to show,etc.
